Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort has become one of the world's preferred destinations for ultra-extravagant international weddings. The resort caters to an elite clientele looking for a priceless nuptial experience.
Lovers from many countries come to Las Ventanas to celebrate this most important of days for many tangible reasons: the stunning ambiance, dramatic setting on the Sea of Cortez, attention to every detail, unsurpassed luxury, service and hospitality, and exquisite accommodations and facilities. An intangible, however, may even be more telling - the magic of Las Ventanas. The resort is such a romantic place that men often propose to their sweethearts here, then the couple returns to get married as well as comes back for anniversaries. The result is that about a third of Las Ventanas' business comes from proposals, weddings, vow renewals and anniversaries.
Wedding at Las Ventanas are uniquely intimate and personal affairs. The resort's wedding planner from the Department of Romance works closely with you to create your ideal wedding experience, satisfying your every sense, every emotion and every whim. Every wedding at the resort reflects the ultimate in quality, creativity and aesthetics.
A favorite and magnificent venue is The Plaza, a terrace perched above the beach featuring expansive, inspiring panoramas of sea and coastline. Ceremonies are often held at sunset when a striking display of nature - a radiant orange sun giving way to a sky emblazoned with brilliant colors - becomes the backdrop to the gala affair. Smaller weddings, particularly private ceremonies for two or vow renewals, usually take place on the white-sand beach. Receptions and wedding parties are usually held in the Private Event Room that opens completely to a beautiful inlaid-pebble terrace with beautiful sea views - creating the option of either an indoor or indoor-outdoor event under the star-studded Baja sky. For groom's, rehearsal and other dinners, a favorite is enchanting La Cava, the private wine cellar where you dine among thousands of bottles of the world's finest vintages. A traditional Mexican beach barbecue, with sizzling aromatic grills right on the sand, is another popular option. The bride-to-be and her wedding party often arrive early to enjoy pre-wedding festivities focusing on special treatments and therapies at The Spa (including treatments specially created to prepare the bride for her big day).
A maximum of 60 guests may be accommodated for a wedding. Ceremonies are generally performed by a local justice of the peace or a nondenominational minister; other special arrangements can be made. Every service from live entertainment, videography and flowers, to the smallest details such as the type of chocolate used in the wedding cake, are part of the resort’s complete wedding planning and experience.

Magical Weddings by the Sea...
It was a very personal affair, as all weddings at Las Ventanas. Every color and texture, every taste and smell, every detail had been considered - to create a visual and sentimental feast.
The groom had proposed to his love at Las Ventanas. The magic of the place, and that moment, had set their future course. Now they had returned for their wedding. The memories would continue, and only grow brighter.
The festivities began with a Taste of Baja on Thursday night, in the intimate and ornate La Cava wine room. Amid hundreds of bottles of the world's finest vintages, the immediate family had gathered to share regional delicacies and celebrate the happy couple. Joyousness was in the air, a sample of what was to come over the long-awaited weekend.
The next evening, roaring bonfires licked the magenta sky as the sun slipped toward the horizon. Under the twinkling glory of the Cabo night, the rehearsal dinner - a beach barbecue - was underway. The aromatic sizzling grills, musicians strumming guitars, the perfect margaritas and fine cigars made for an evening of festive fun and the ideal lead-in to the next day's wedding.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, ushers began escorting the guests to their seats on the wedding terrace, perched above the Sea of Cortez. The vistas were electrifying. Bands of pink and mauve and lilac striped the sky, tinting the water and coloring the long expanse of rugged coastline. The sun glowed a tangerine orange.
Tall yellow flames flickered from the gas urns. Hundreds of candles illuminated the perimeter of the terrace, inflaming the evening with a magical aura. A harpist and three guitarists created sweet, lilting sounds that resonated in every heart. Amid the kaleidoscopic splash of flowers, candles permeated the air with a delicate and enthralling scent of gardenia.
The moment of promise had arrived. The bride, radiant in her exquisite gown, slowly walked up the latilla-screen covered aisle strewn with thousands of flower petals. The last rays of the sun streaked the wedding terrace. When the hand-in-hand couple said "I do" and kissed, the guests exploded with applause and tears of joys, overwhelmed by the beauty and emotion.
And then the celebrating began. On the balmy, starry night, champagne and hors d'oeuvres were served on the private dining room's beautiful inlaid-pebble terrace. As a classical trio played, the wedding party was reflected in the countless glass vases with floating candles. At exquisitely set white tables splashed with floral color, guests savored succulent sweetwater langostinos and buttery filet mignon. It was self-evident that the multi-tiered wedding cake with a white Valhrona chocolate exterior was a work of art; but not until the bride cut the cake, revealing the Valhrona dark chocolate filling, did anyone realize just how unbelievably sinful and rich it was.
Dancing at the recreated retro disco were the last steps taken in a personal and joyous wedding journey...that could only have been experienced at Las Ventanas.
