Location: Los Cabos, at the tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, along the coast of the Sea of Cortez where it meets the Pacific. Approximately 20 minutes from San Jose del Cabo International Airport, and 15 minutes from both San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Accommodations: There are 83 suites in a wide array of floorplans ranging from 960 to 5,600 sq. ft. Among the choices are: four one-bedroom villas with 3,900 sq. ft. and a private pool; a 7,800 sq.-ft., three-bedroom Presidential Villa with three full baths, separate dining area, private pool and rooftop terrace; a selection of two-bedroom, two-bath Penthouse suites with 3,900 sq. ft. and three-bedroom, three-bath suites of 3,893 square feet with extensive living areas and terraces; and three two-bedroom, two-bath, 3,900 sq.-ft. Spa Suites, which offer a self-contained ‘total spa lifestyle’ and feature a state-of-the-art treatment room, and twelve new luxury villas unveiled in December 2013, one, two and three-bedroom oceanview and beachfront villas offering the ultimate indulgence for a private, residential style escape yet with the same legendary service and luxurious amenities for which Las Ventanas is renowned.
All suites feature Butler Service, spacious living areas, wood-burning fireplaces and exquisite décor,appointments and furnishings featuring the finest Mexican craftsmanship and motifs. All suites offer magnificent panoramic views of the sea, sand and desert gardens; some suites combine sea and golf-course views.
Ambiance: Enchanting Mediterranean-Mexican style architecture and design with such features as: a serpentine network of swimming pools; swim-up bar; patios overlooking the sea; dining al fresco by the sand, and suites with personal spas, rooftop patios and telescopes for stargazing.
Dining: Three original and unique dining choices include: The Restaurant, serving the resort’s signature Baja-Mediterranean Cuisine, with choice of open-air or indoor dining; seaside dining in the Sea Grill featuring “Cocina del Fuego” cooked on wood-burning grills; and the Ceviche, Sushi & Tequila Bar, featuring innovative ceviches, Mexico’s finest 100% agave tequilas, and a sushi fusion of Mexican and Japanese flavors. Guests may also opt for intimate private dining in their suite, on the beach or on The Plaza, an array of one-of-a-kind dining events on the beach, and specialty dinners in the atmospheric wine cellar called La Cava.
Golf: The concierge can arrange tee times on four championship golf courses, all designed by internationally recognized masters of course design, including: Robert Trent Jones II’s Cabo Real, which wraps around Las Ventanas with the 15th hole played at the water’s edge; Tom Weiskopf’s Cabo Del Sol Desert Course; and Cabo Del Sol Ocean Course and Palmilla, both designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Tennis: Two championship courts are complemented by instruction programs and a variety of special amenities including an attendant to retrieve balls and see to any guest needs.
The Spa at Las Ventanas: The internationally acclaimed spa offers a full range of holistic therapies and treatments inspired by the ancient healers of Baja who tapped the powers of the Four Elements. There are separate facilities for men and women including dressing areas, sauna, steam and whirlpool.
Fitness Center & Instruction: A state-of-the-art Fitness Center, which sets a new standard for fitness facilities in the resort world, is luxuriously appointed, extraordinary spacious with 2,900 square feet, and offers the gamut in Precor equipment and accessories – everything you expect to find at a professional health club, and more. Personal trainers and yoga and pilates instructors are available.
Yacht Excursions: The resort has plush yachts available to guests for luxurious excursions up the Pacific Coast or the Sea of Cortez.
Idyllic Wedding Venue: A large patio with a raised platform for the bride and groom – and stunning panoramic views of sea and coast for a backdrop – was designed and created for weddings and other events. Called The Plaza, the extraordinary venue is the resort’s highest point and can accommodate up to 60 for weddings, banquets or other events. Contiguous to The Plaza is the indoor-outdoor event center, ideal for wedding receptions and dinners, where the 1,000-sq.-ft. room opens completely to a 1,000-sq-ft. terrace overlooking the sea. For smaller weddings and events, the white-sand private beach is a poplar and favorite venue. The combination of beautiful venues, fine dining and luxurious accommodations, facilities and amenities for guests make Las Ventanas a dream option for weddings.
Meeting Facilities: The resort offers an exceptional array of venues, including a conference center with multiple room figurations and attached sea-view patio, for exclusive meetings, banquets and other group events. Hold an intimate specialty dinner in the 2,400-bottle wine room (called La Cava), a reception on a large terrace overlooking the water, a party under a thatched palapa or a themed event on the beach.
