Paired with carefully designed hands-on therapies, the new treatments aim to inspire intuitive self-care rituals.
Located within the verdant foliage on its own jungle island, offers an extraordinary setting for its series of exclusive treatments with GROUND Wellbeing. These innovative therapies seamlessly blend the healing powers of nature and plant-based aromatherapy with carefully honed movements and rituals – from rhythmic massage and acupressure to Gua Sha stones for lymphatic circulation and more – offering guests a profound journey and escape to the retreat of their personal wellbeing. The new spa experiences emphasize intuitive self-care, using plant essences and natural elements to support physical and mental well-being. The new treatments reflect an extension of the existing wellness philosophy with an emphasis on inner healing, transformation, and the grounding power of nature.
Introducing the GROUND Rituals, a series of five innovative therapies developed exclusively for Rosewood Mayakoba, each aimed to support different elements, from anxiety and sleep to the prenatal journey, temperature regulation, detoxification and digestion:
● Seed |The Grounding Ritual: An antidote to anxiety or a racing mind, this ritual begins with a botanical scrub featuring ingredients like basil, rosemary, and geranium from the spa’s Mayan-inspired Kuxtal Sensorial Garden. The experience includes a full-body massage and leads to a comforting peat mask for the feet, grounding guests to the physical earth and enhancing overall well-being.
● Growth | The Sleep Ritual: Designed for deep rest and cellular repair, this ritual involves a soothing balm and botanical treatment followed by rhythmic massage movements. Acupressure points are gently stimulated to calm the nervous system and enhance lymphatic circulation, creating a peaceful space for restorative slumber.
● Bloom | The Comforting Ritual: A tailored prenatal experience, this ritual provides deep comfort through targeted massage and gua sha techniques. Focused on relieving tension in the shoulders, back, hips, and lower legs, it offers a serene and nurturing experience for expectant mothers.
● Wisdom | The Balancing Ritual: A holistic treatment aimed at harmonizing body and mind, this ritual features a balancing scrub and a wave-like massage with cool marble stones. Enhanced by a full-body kaolin clay wrap – which works to gently purify, smooth and soften skin – the treatment regulates body temperature, reduces excess heat and water retention, and promotes deep relaxation.
● Star | The Cleansing Ritual: Centered on purification and vitality, this ritual includes an invigorating body scrub, a green clay body wrap, and a methodical full-body massage. Acupressure points and a slow abdominal massage aid in detoxification, digestive support, and energy release, fostering a deep connection to oneself.
