About
Surrounded by emerald jungle and winding lagoons, Rosewood Mayakoba is an ultra-luxury retreat situated along a mile of white-sand beach on Mexico’s Riviera Maya. The luxury resort covers many small islands surrounded by a mangrove jungle at the heart of the ecological enclave of Mayakoba. An unparalleled Mexico vacation destination, Rosewood Mayakoba offers Sense, A Rosewood Spa, situated on a private island at the heart of the resort. Guests have access to all of the features and services of Mayakoba, including 20 restaurants and bars, and El Camaleón, the PGA Tour Championship Golf Course, an 18-hole Greg Norman championship golf course.

Located in the heart of Riviera Maya, a region in the southeast of Mexico with 75-miles of pristine Caribbean coast, bordering the second largest coral reef in the world.
Weather
Although the destination enjoys stunning weather and tropical warmth year-round, the winter/spring months from December to May are the peak season. Annual average temperature is 78 degrees.
Air Access & Transportation
Cancun’s International Airport handles flights to over 20 destinations in Mexico and to over 30 countries in North, Central, South America and Europe. The Resort can easily be accessible by private jet.
The Resort can arrange private chauffeured transfers in luxurious Cadillac Escalades with meet & greet service outside of the airport terminal. Independent taxi services and car rentals are also offered at the airport or can be pre-arranged via the resort’s concierge desk.

Rosewood Mayakoba’s culinary offerings are inspired by the gastronomic heritage of Mexico and the distinct traditions and culture of the country’s diverse regions. The Resort is a sensorial gallery, where guests can sample and learn all about Mexico’s regional cuisine across seven restaurants and bars, in-suite dining and a variety of culinary events, experiences and pop-ups.
Agave Azul (dinner) – with seating in an indoor/outdoor terrace overlooking the lagoon, Agave Azul is a casual, Baja California seafood restaurant with Asian influences.
Casa del Lago (breakfast) – located adjacent to the lobby, Casa del Lago celebrates traditional breakfast items from Central Mexico. An extensive continental breakfast buffet with premium cheese and cold cuts, smoked salmon, fruits, pastries, cereals and yogurts, while hot dishes are available a la carte.
Punta Bonita (lunch & dinner) – overlooking the Resort’s main beach area and family pool deck, this warm, casual and relaxing venue provides an ambiance synonymous with Mexican hospitality. The cuisine is inspired by Mexicos’ Southern Pacific Coast.
La Fondita (lunch) – in the heart of Mayakoba’s El Pueblito and drawing inspiration from Mexico City’s neighborhood restaurants, La Fondita is set in posh cantina décor and boasts bright street food flavors coupled with a lively and charming environment. The menu features favorites such as tostadas, tacos, aguas frescas, craft beer and mezcal.
La Cantina at Aquí Me Quedo (lunch) – an unrivaled adults-only beachfront oasis inspired by the residential style of a grand seaside home and the relaxed, natural beauty of Riviera Maya, Aquí Me Quedo features the vibrant, festive feel of a traditional Mexican cantina where guests gather to graze and sip throughout the day. La Cantina’s menu offers refreshing cocktails and Caribbean coastal-inspired fare.
Zapote Bar (lunch & dinner) - Zapote is a bar located in Mexico’s Riviera Maya created as a love letter to the Yucatán, its products, culture and people. It is founded and operated by Rosewood Mayakoba and under the leadership of chef Juan Pablo Loza in collaboration with hospitality and cocktail experts Alberto Gonzalez and Jose Luis Leon. Zapote is a day-to-night destination that offers gracious service, inspired food and quality cocktails using Mayan ingredients, tools, and techniques.
Pan Dulce (bakery) – located at Mayakoba’s El Pueblito, Pan Dulce dives into the sweet side of Mexican cuisine, specializing in pastries, breads, cookies and custom orders for that special occasion.
La Ceiba Garden & Kitchen (open air kitchen and venue) - designed as an interactive environment for guests to partake in cooking demonstrations, tastings, sit-down La Ceiba Garden & Kitchen pays homage to authentic Mayan cuisine and heritage with its name, derived from one of the Mayan culture’s most important symbols, the great Ceiba tree. The al fresco kitchen and garden, which serves only food cooked over an open flame in accordance with Mayan tradition, offers a fine dining setting anchored by an 18-person communal table.

Sense, A Rosewood Spa®
The spa is designed as a retreat-within-a-retreat. Guests at this Mexico spa vacation destination cross a bridge, to reach the private spa island. The spa's interior spaces open to gentle breezes and stunning natural environment of the jungle. Comprising 17,000 sq. ft., the Spa space includes 12 treatment rooms and eight Wellness Suites, immersive accommodations where every element of in-room experiences have been thoughtfully considered to maximize relaxation and inspire renewal. The spa menu features therapeutic treatments using indigenous ingredients made from local plants such as aloe and agave cactus. Spa facilities, which are separate for men and women, include therapeutic plunge pools, steam grottos, saunas and experiential showers. Outside, the spa has a meditation platform, pool and relaxation deck.
Meetings & Events
There are three meeting rooms, comprising 3,315 sq. ft. of interior space. Palma Real (1,843 sq. ft.), Palma Areca (662 sq. ft.) and Palma Kuka (444 sq. ft.) as well as the Foyer Las Palmas area offering elegant outdoor space for events of all types. In addition, the main restaurant, Casa del Lago, offers a private dining room, Avicenia, that accommodates approximately 16 persons banquet-style. Beautifully tailored lagoon view and oceanfront venues available.
Sustainability
Rosewood Mayakoba is a prime model of how sustainable design and execution can be thoughtfully woven together to create a truly luxurious destination. Sitting within a 620-acre private development, the resort revolves around the protection of our natural mangroves and is home to hundreds of indigenous flora and fauna. Guests arrive to their suite via an electric boat, and they use electric golf carts and bicycles throughout their stay. This seamless integration with our natural environment is one of the most defining characteristics of the resort. Sustainability is in our DNA as a resort development.
Our five-star luxury resort was built to abide by the highest of eco-standards, offering indulgence with awareness, and has earned the Rainforest Alliance Certification. Mayakoba
Within the Mayakoba resort enclave guests have access to El Camaleón, the PGA Tour Championship Golf Course designed by Greg Norman, the Dive & Water Sports Center offering a wide range of water activities, including scuba diving, jet ski rentals, private yacht charters and much more, El Pueblito, an authentic Mexican square with shops and restaurants, arcade, two tennis courts and lectures on Mayan culture, history and the Quintana Roo ecosystem.
Offsite activities include shopping, dining and nightlife in Playa del Carmen, visits to ecological and archaeological parks, including the famous ruins of Xel-Ha, Xcaret and Tulum.
