July 05, 2023
Rosewood Villa Magna, one of the most emblematic and distinguished hotels in Madrid - with a history of more than 51 years - is delighted to announce that it has been recognized with the ‘Best Urban Hotel 2023’ award in the Conde Nast Traveler Spain Awards.
The award, which was chosen through the magazine’s reader survey, recognizes Rosewood Villa Magna's notable track record in the second year since it reopened under the ultra-luxury lifestyle brand of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®. This most valued recognition adds to the impressive list of awards the hotel has received since the arrival of the Hong Kong-based hotel group chain, opening this first Rosewood property in Spain.
"It is a great honor for Rosewood Villa Magna to receive such a prestigious award," confirms Friedrich von Schönburg, general manager of Rosewood Villa Magna. "Since reopening, we have strived to offer personalized experiences and convey to all our guests our passion for the finest hospitality. It is also such a pleasure to see how Rosewood Villa Magna has become a meeting point for the people of Madrid. The entire team has shown great dedication and enthusiasm, fully committed to Rosewood's ‘Sense of Place’ philosophy, providing unparalleled experiences that immerse our guests in Madrid's destination and culture" he concludes.
Rosewood Villa Magna reopened its doors in October 2021 after a meticulous renovation and exquisite redesign of the original 1972 landmark Madrid hotel. The result is a contemporary reinterpretation of the essence of Madrid's palatial and aristocratic homes infused with a dynamic design style that honors both the original hotel and the vibrant city in which it is located.
The contemporary style, amenities, world-class dining experiences and the unparalleled level of service of the reimagined Rosewood Villa Magna ushers in a new era of ultra-luxury lifestyle hospitality in Spain. This emblematic hotel has become a social, artistic, cultural, and gastronomic meeting point for both guests and residents of Madrid.
