The iconic beachfront property encourages guests to enjoy time together over a collection of beautifully designed, custom parlor games
December 06, 2021
Rosewood Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda’s beloved and stunning island escape, reaffirms its status as the ideal destination to ‘disconnect to reconnect’ with the launch of a custom game collection in partnership with noted accessories and home décor designer, Edie Parker. Born out of a shared appreciation for low-tech, high-touch luxury, as well as a mission to support guests in rediscovering the art of in-person connection, the games underscore the resort’s playful character and facilitate a new, fun bonding experience for family and friends.
Launching just in time for the holiday season, Rosewood Little Dix Bay’s high season when travelers from around the world descend upon the secluded slice of paradise, the new collection offers an elevated interpretation of classic games including Four in a Row, Tic Tac Toe, Chinese Checkers and Playing Cards. Each exquisite piece, made from Edie Parker’s signature acrylic material, has been carefully crafted by skilled artisans in Italy to showcase a nostalgic feel with a modern design twist, reflective of the resort’s own aesthetic that blends the concept of relaxed yet refined outdoor living with luxurious and modern touches. In keeping with the resort’s foundation that holds the natural environment at the heart of its design and operations, the games’ color palettes draw inspiration from the stunning setting of Rosewood Little Dix Bay, reminiscent of the ocean colorways and vibrant flora and fauna found throughout the property.
“The Edie Parker team has magnificently captured the essence of Rosewood Little Dix Bay and Virgin Gorda in these classic games, expertly infusing the calming color hues of the island into the pieces,” said Andreas Pade, managing director of Rosewood Little Dix Bay. “This new collection is a beautiful complement to our environment here at the resort, both luxurious and playful, and I know they will be met with great excitement by our guests as they look to relax and unwind while enjoying our undiluted tropical splendor.”
Exclusive to the resort’s top accommodations including the Two Bedroom Suites and four standalone villas, the easily transportable games are available for guests to enjoy in-room, at the beach or by the pool. They have been conceived in harmony with Rosewood Little Dix Bay’s environmentally minded approach, which excludes televisions from the in-room experience to place a greater emphasis on the inherent value of spending mindful time in nature, either alone or together with others.
"We are excited to partner with a destination like Rosewood Little Dix Bay on pieces that will be featured in an incredibly unique destination,” said Brett Heyman, founder of Edie Parker. “The selection of games is a perfect pairing to the environment, both elevated and fun!"
