60 Years of Little Dix Bay

In 1964, following years of site-sensitive planning, environmentalist Laurance Rockefeller unveiled an innovative, 50-room Virgin Gorda resort that embodied a visionary affinity between travel and nature. Upon joining the Rosewood family in 1994, the property underwent a full renovation aligned with the brand's dual commitment to ultra-luxury and the natural environment. Today, Rosewood Little Dix Bay is one of the world's finest getaways—a legendary immersive eco-retreat where the outside world disappears.

PORTRAITS Of PARADISE

In keeping with resort's long dedication to utmost privacy, the camera has documented visitors' presence only rarely—as when Queen Elizabeth II toured the resort. So inviting our guests and associates to be immortalized by world-renowned photographer Greg Williams this past summer was an exciting, historic moment. On exhibit in the Great Room, Williams' charismatic portraits capture the faces of Rosewood Little Dix Bay and the essence of the luxury retreat spirit.

Celebrating the Sixties

To celebrate the 60th anniversary, the resort is turning back the clock to embrace the throwback glamour of the Rum Room with a specialty menu of vintage recipes, from old favorites like the Gimlet and The Grasshopper to more tropical flavors like the Pelican Smash. The menu will be executed by the resort’s world-class bar team, with cocktail recipes created in partnership with Pernod Ricard. Artist and illustrator Tess Ramirez captures the beauty of Rosewood Little Dix Bay in a series of original illustrations, making the menu itself a coveted souvenir for fans of the property.
