COVID-19 Update

UPDATED TRAVEL PROTOCOLS

Effective July 15, 2022 - All travelers, regardless of vaccination status, are free to roam the territory upon arrival with no testing requirements. Travelers are no longer required to submit documentation through the BVI Gateway Travel Portal and will not be subject to any quarantine periods upon arrival.

Face masks or face coverings are now optional both indoors and outdoors throughout the territory. However, private businesses and public- or governmentally-run facilities may still require face masks be worn regardless of whether the business or facility is indoor or outdoor.

DEPARTURE: ENTERING THE UNITED STATES

Effective June 12, 2022, neither a pre-departure test, nor documentation of recovery from COVID-19 is required for those traveling to the United States. This is valid for all airlines or other aircraft passengers.

Please refer to the CDC Guidelines for more information on vaccine requirements for entry into the United States.

DEPARTURE: TEST FOR INTER-ISLAND TRAVEL

Visitors will need to check travel requirements based on their intended port of entry as travel requirements vary by country.

TESTING COSTS IN THE BVI

If chosen to take a test on property the cost for a COVID-19 RT-PCR test is USD225 per person, and a Rapid Antigen test is USD125 per person. A USD5 fee will be added for the use of a credit card or room charge.
Alternatively, if the decision is made to have a test administered at the Virgin Gorda Clinic, the cost is USD70 per test for the standard COVID-19 RT-PCR test.
Note: The government will not allow a visitor to leave the country if they test positive. A positive-testing visitor will need to quarantine in an approved location for 10 days at their own expense.
