Nestled in the heart of the city, this bustling food market has been a culinary institution for over two centuries, offering a vibrant range of tastes that capture the essence of Bavarian cuisine. A few minutes’ walk away is the Rathaus Glockenspiel, whose chimes and performances you can watch several times a day. From there, you can explore the city’s quaint cobblestone alleyways, lined with boutiques, cafés, and beer gardens. After a break, you’ll enjoy the inaugural Michelin-starred dinner of the journey.

Explore landmarks such as Mozart’s birthplace, the baroque Mirabell Palace and the towering Festung Hohensalzburg—which offers breathtaking views of the city—and visit filming locations from The Sound of Music, the 1965 classic that put Salzburg on the map. You’ll then enjoy a Michelin-starred lunch in the city, before returning to Rosewood Schloss Fuschl to relax for the rest of the day.

Enjoy a leisurely morning and lunch at Rosewood Schloss Fuschl before departing to Salzburg town to try Mozartkugel—indulgent chocolates filled with marzipan, pistachio cream and nougat, and named after the composer—from the finest chocolatiers and confectioners in the city. Then, enjoy an aperitif at one of the city’s cosy cafes or wine bars before sitting down for the fourth Michelin-starred dinner of the journey.
