Philip Meyer is the Regional Vice President for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® & Managing Director at Rosewood Sand Hill. Meyer was appointed to his role at Rosewood Sand Hill in July 2018. In this position, he oversees and leads all facets of the prestigious property, including guest relations and programming, food and beverage, including the Michelin-starred signature restaurant Madera, Sense, A Rosewood Spa® and overall hotel operations. As regional vice president, Meyer oversees seven Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® properties, which include Rosewood Sand Hill in Silicon Valley, Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver, B.C., Rosewood Miramar Beach in Santa Barbara, Rosewood San Francisco (opening 2026), Rosewood Washington D.C., The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York City, and Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort (opening 2023).
An experienced international hotelier, Meyer has over 40 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Most recently, Meyer served as the Managing Director of Rosewood Hotel Georgia, launching two of the most popular establishments to drink and dine in Vancouver. Prior to joining Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in 2015, Meyer served as the general manager of Wedgewood Hotel and Spa in Vancouver for 17 years. Meyer trained & worked in the UK prior to moving to Canada & US and is an avid cyclist & advocate of the BC Cancer Foundation.
