January 15, 2021
Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, the luxury hotel nestled within an enchanting artists’ village north of Mexico City, in the best interests of our guests, has partnered with the most prestigious healthcare hospital in town to offer COVID-19 testing at the hotel in a temporary on-site lab.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires all travelers entering the United States to present a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 3 days of departure of their first flight segment headed into the USA (commercial and private flights). This includes travelers who have already received the COVID-19 vaccine.
If a traveler has recovered from COVID-19, the traveler will need proof of recovery within the last 3 months. Traveler must present both proof of positive test and a letter from a licensed health care provider or public health official confirming the passenger has been cleared for travel.
Our guests can get more information and schedule test appointments prior to their stay at sanmiguel.concierge@rosewoodhotels.com
San Miguel de Allende has received the Safe Travels Stamp from the World Travel & Tourism Council, which honors the sustained efforts by local governments and businesses to enforce safety protocols to fight the spread of the virus.
“We are living in challenging times that need fast and functional responses. Our job focuses on making our guests journey as easy as possible. That is why it’s our responsibility to offer the answers to any possible complication our visitors may encounter. We pleased to offer a reliable response for COVID testing in our own facilities", says Alfredo Rentería, Managing Director at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. “We want our guest to enjoy the city, and then, in a simple and fast process, have their PCR test done in the commodity of the property”
The safety and wellbeing of the Hotel’s guests and associates remain the utmost priority and Rosewood San Miguel de Allende will continue to operate following the guidelines set by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ Commitment to Care global health and safety program to ensure the protection of all those who visit.
In the city, since March, the use of a mask is mandatory. In case of disobedience, the authority is empowered to arrest anyone who contravenes this rule. Because of this reason, Rosewood San Miguel de Allende requires all guests to wear face masks in all common areas of the hotel (any area where there are other guests or associates). Along with face masks and temperature screening, the Hotel also encourages all guests to keep physical distancing from other guests not in their own party. Employees are required to wear job-related personal protective equipment (face masks, gloves, face shields). We appreciate everyone’s support in following these guidelines to minimize the risk for guests and associates.
