THE PIE ROOM AT HOLBORN DINING ROOM INTRODUCES LIMITED-EDITION PIE IN CELEBRATION OF BRITISH PIE WEEK
March 04, 2024
This March in London, ‘The Pie Room’ at Holborn Dining Room celebrates British Pie Week with an exclusive and limited-edition ‘Pepper Steak Pie’, available for collection from The Pie Hole. The Pie Hole is open for an extended time for one week only; Monday 4th March to Saturday 9th March, between 11-3pm.
Handcrafted by Head Pie Maker Nokx Majozi, the one-off exclusive pie not only is a dedication to one of Britain’s most iconic dishes, but is also a celebration of Nokx’s own South African roots. This popular classic South African pie, which will be priced at £15, is a Slow Cooked Pepper Steak Pie infused with thyme and pepper.
Each pie, under the direction of Nokx, has been created using traditional British pie-making techniques combined with ingredients and flavours much loved in South Africa. Nokx has adapted her recipe specifically for the occasion, typically made with puff pastry, this pie, encased in traditional British suet pastry before being baked. Honouring the cultural importance of her heritage, Nokx has tirelessly crafted a pie which will offer time-strapped Londoners the opportunity to celebrate British Pie Week, whilst paying homage to her own culture.
The extended opening of The Pie Hole for British Pie Week allows for passersby to collect a beautifully intricate pastry creation directly from the handy street-side hatch. Rosewood London are also offering the chance to win an overnight stay for two and a Pie Masterclass in The Pie Room for up to 6 guests. To participate, follow Holborn Dining Room’s social media during British Pie Week.
