ROSEWOOD LONDON LAUNCHES MINI HOCKNEY AFTERNOON TEA IN MIRROR ROOM
July 16, 2023
Just in time for the summer holidays, Rosewood London is re-imagining its acclaimed Art Afternoon Tea inspired by David Hockney (launched March 2023) for the minds and tastes of children. Little ones will be able to reveal their inner artist with this exciting and fun twist allowing them to dress up with Hockney-esque accessories from a curated dress-up box, complete with flat caps, ties and round glasses reminiscent of his iconic look. Channelling the essence of Hockney, children will have the opportunity to show their painting and decorating skills of one of Chef Mark Perkins’ three signature art cakes, "The Splash", served as a blue canvas, ready to be transformed into its very own masterpiece with vibrant chocolate sprinkles and edible paints.
Inspired by the whimsical works of David Hockney, in tandem with the run of his latest London exhibition, ‘Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away)’, Rosewood London’s Mini Hockney summer experience will give children a chance to ignite their creativity and artistic expression through frivolous activities and creative cakes. The delightful, sweet treat menu includes a procession of Hockney-inspired art cakes - mini versions of the signature Art Afternoon Tea spread creations - presented on a paint palette alongside scones, jam and clotted cream, plus a selection of traditional sandwiches, from Montgomery ham and cheddar cheese to Clarence Court Eggs and watercress, served with freshly squeezed orange or apple juice.
Served daily in Mirror Room at Rosewood London - from noon to 5:45 p.m.
