Rosewood London launches its festive campaign in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity this Christmas
December 01, 2016
This Christmas Rosewood London has teamed up with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity in an exciting campaign which will help raise vital funds to help make a difference to seriously ill children from across the UK as well as spreading festive cheer throughout London in a series of merry activities.
From the 1st to the 12th of December an animated calendar will be displayed on Rosewood London’s website and social media channels, each day revealing the iconic London location where Father Christmas will be found driving the red, convertible, Rosewood London Mini to encourage the public to go and make their Christmas wishes.
Matthias Roeke Regional Vice President and Managing Director, Rosewood London has commented: “Christmas time at Rosewood London is such a special time of year for the guests and our associates at the property and it is a great honour this year to be able to raise money for such a deserving cause. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is close to everyone’s hearts and we hope to raise awareness and money with this joyful and giving campaign”.
The twelve chosen locations will include sites such as Big Ben, The London Eye and Covent Garden where the public can find Father Christmas driving the eye-catching red Mini and give him their Christmas wishes. When a wish is submitted to Father Christmas, the partaker will automatically be entered into a competition to have their Christmas wish granted and also to win a selection of amazing prizes gifted by Rosewood London. In addition to collecting Christmas wishes from Londoners, Father Christmas will be handing out delicious treats to the public and encouraging people to donate to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
On December 12th, a specular gala dinner will be held in the bejewelled Mirror Room at Rosewood London to raise as much money as possible for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. During the gala, three wishes given to Father Christmas from over the 12 days will be granted, alongside a live auction offering exclusive luxury experiences for the gala guests to bid on. The three winners of the various competitions will all be announced on social media live from the gala and all proceeds from the evening will be donated to the charity.
Alison Reed, Head of Campaigns and Events at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity has commented: “We are thrilled that Rosewood London has chosen Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity for this campaign. Mini Wishes is adding that extra touch of magic to an already special time of year, whilst raising vital funds to help make a difference to seriously ill children from across the UK who are treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital.” For more information visit www.gosh.org
