October 01, 2020
Located on place de la Concorde, the bar Les Ambassadeurs at Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, epitomises the quintessential spirit of Paris, with a focus on the past as well as the avant-garde. Overlooking one of the most beautiful squares in the world and offering a terrace under the arcades, the mythical address at the heart of the French capital is a unique venue enchanting both Parisians and guests from around the world seeking an escape. The art of cocktail-making is truly surpassed at Les Ambassadeurs.
To celebrate the reopening of Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, the bar is launching a brand new signature cocktail menu for Les Ambassadeurs’ relaunch on 28 September, that invites visitors to discover Paris in a unique way, through an art-focused stroll around the capital’s lesser known neighbourhoods.
The brand new cocktail menu is presented as an illustrated tourist map providing a visual representation of Paris. The city’s neighbourhoods and hidden gems are represented by eight strong flavours: woody/spicy, fruity/floral, smoky/roasted, salty/botanical. The recipes of each of the ten signature concoctions are inspired by an iconic Parisian location far from the usual well-trodden sites, and are imbued with an amalgamation of these flavours that reflect its history.
The Paris map menu has been designed in street art with works from an array of well-known international artists, including: Keith Haring, Da Cruz, Manyoly, Thoma Vuille, Obey, Spray Yarps, Angelo Pioppo, Francisco Diaz, Liz Art Berlin, Banksy and Kashink. With art styles ranging from graffiti and comic books, to pop art and urban frescoes, the new signature cocktail menu represents a modern poetic stroll through the City of Lights.
A snapshot of the signature cocktails can be seen below.
