A superb culinary destination, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco features two restaurants, an organic kitchen garden, a cooking school, a bar, the Brunellerie and two pool bars. Each culinary experience is uniquely brought to life by the resort’s Executive Chef Matteo Temperini, who combines the finest ingredients and garden’s seasonal produce to create surprising dishes that respect and embody local culinary traditions with a twist.
Ristorante Campo del Drago
Each evening, Michelin-starred Ristorante Campo del Drago serves vibrant and original dishes enriched with fresh produce from the Resort's organic kitchen garden. The evocative name pays homage to the Piazza del Campo in Siena and is inspired by the single-cru Brunello di Montalcino produced by the estate’s winery. Outdoors, the terrace offers stunning views of the emerald green hills, lush Montalcino woodlands and Val d’Orcia landscape. Campo del Drago was bestowed its first star from the MICHELIN Guide to Italy 2023 and was awarded its second star in the MICHELIN Guide to Italy 2025.
Osteria La Canonica
Located in the heart of the borgo, close to the church of San Michele, Osteria La Canonica offers the authentic, warm atmosphere of a typical Tuscan trattoria. La Canonica features a shaded open veranda overlooking the stunning valley below. In this rustic and informal atmosphere, delicious Tuscan primi piatti or prime cut steaks, including Chianina are prepared, while pizzas are fired up in an ancient wood-fired oven. Seasonal produce from the organic kitchen garden is combined with other Tuscan ingredients, sourced from a pool of the finest suppliers from the local community.
La Canonica Cooking School
Located in a former priest’s house in the heart of the borgo, La Canonica Cooking School presents guests with an opportunity to experience the link between local produce and cooking techniques. During the classes, attendees kickstart their lessons by selecting ingredients from the organic garden. Next, back in the kitchen, the chef teaches them how to make an array of traditional Tuscan and Italian dishes - from pasta and homemade sauces to pizzas as well as a variety of vegetarian dishes.
Lobby Bar
A warm and cosy space enriched by a Tuscan fireplace, the Lobby Bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a light snack, an afternoon tea with freshly baked treats, to sip signature cocktails or choose from our extensive wine menu, with live music in the background.
Brunellerie
The Brunellerie, right next to Ristorante Campo del Drago, is an intimate space where guests can enjoy a glass of Tuscan wine or a Champagne flûte. Every evening on request, our guests can deepen their knowledge of Tuscan wines and Champagne with bespoke tasting experiences.
Pool Bar
Fresh and simple Italian specialties are even more satisfying when enjoyed poolside under the warm Tuscan sun with the views of the hilltop town of Montalcino and the UNESCO-protected Val d’Orcia park.
