PRESS KIT
Throughout Rosewood Bangkok visitors are invited to create their own personal journeys of discovery, and perhaps no more so than amongst the gastronomic experiences within four innovative restaurant and bar concepts spanning European, Chinese and health-conscious cuisines.
Lakorn European Brasserie is fittingly situated in the lobby as a day-long social and dining magnet. Diners can gather indoors amidst an imaginative décor accented by traditional ornaments worn by Thai dancers, or choose the shady, foliage-filled outdoor terrace. The menu of Western and Thai small plates, to mains and innovative drinks, is carefully curated for every mood and layered with flair.
In addition to an extensive New and Old World wine list, signature coffees and teas are produced by an eight to 12-hour process of extracting flavors from cold brewed coffee beans and tea leaves. This method brings out unique taste sensations, further enhanced by a choice of garnishes and syrups for true bespoke creations.
Nan Bei, meaning South and North respectively in Mandarin, is a vibrant, modern restaurant for Chinese dining, offering regional specialties from the two China regions, in both indoor and outdoor areas. Open kitchens are dedicated to preparation of popular Southern Chinese seafood dishes and world-famous Peking Duck.
Nan Bei’s sleek and seductive bar offers a tongue-in-cheek celebration of modern Asian libations, with tipples such as Claypot Tea Negroni, Yoghurt Pisco Sour with yoghurt sake and lychee, Shiitake-Fashioned with whisky and shiitake mushroom and My Thai with rum, tropical fruit, chili and curry leaves.
Also featured is a menu of specially selected fine whiskies and exquisite Chinese teas to enjoy in tandem, with each member of the duo selected to complement and enhance the liquid marriage.
Lennon’s is a stylish speakeasy bar perched on the 30th and highest floor of Rosewood Bangkok with spectacular city skyline views. Conceived as whimsical tribute to a home-recording studio and best-loved popular music, it is also home to a 6,000-vinyl collection, the largest assemblage of vinyl LPs in Asia.
Guests enter through a “record shop” with classic album covers papering the walls, where they can dip into the curated collection – including everything from jazz, rock, blues and pop music classics – to make a selection to play on the spot or purchase to take home.
G&O, next to the 9th-floor outdoor pool, is an upscale café with a farm-to-table ethos and emphasis on organic and locally grown and sourced natural ingredients. Hand or cold-pressed juices and smoothies that contain a plethora of health benefits from detox and anti-oxidant to pre-workout boost are also available. Or, since all things are best in moderation, a glass of champagne, white, rosé or red wine is available to enjoy while relaxing in the sunshine, with organic wine options for the purists.
Underpinning all dining at Rosewood Bangkok is the “Partners in Provenance” commitment, borne out of respect for local farmers, indigenous agriculture and a dedication to delivering the highest quality food. Rosewood Bangkok partners with local farms and purveyors to provide guests with fresh, seasonal produce throughout the year, such as fresh eggs from Tan Khun Farm, free range pork from Sloane's and organic vegetables from King Organic Farm. The overall concept places emphasis on maintaining a seasonal and diverse menu featuring local fare.
