An integral part of Cidade Matarazzo, Santa Luzia Chapel is one of São Paulo’s most treasured historic landmarks. Originally built in 1922 and meticulously restored, the chapel celebrates the legacy of Italian immigration and the revival of an important architectural heritage site.

Accommodating up to 180 guests, the chapel hosts religious ceremonies, weddings, baptisms, masses and vow renewals in a setting of remarkable beauty and historical significance.

During the development of the complex, an extraordinary engineering effort preserved the century-old structure while eight underground levels were constructed beneath its foundation. A contemporary stained-glass artwork by renowned Brazilian artist Vik Muniz creates a refined dialogue between tradition and contemporary art.
