Nestled in the all-new outdoor semi-private dining space at Caruso’s, Rosewood Miramar Beach’s celebrated Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star awarded signature restaurant, this experience aims to foster a deep connection between chef and guests, celebrating the ocean's bounty and local ingredients through the conviviality of a family-style dinner with unparalleled ocean views. Prepared live along the coastline, the team at Caruso’s welcomes guests to gather around a communal table for a sustainably-driven culinary experience where the flavors of the ocean meet the warmth of family-style dining.
Available each evening for groups up to 12, FronteMare is a new way for guests to connect with the community beyond Rosewood Miramar Beach, from the bounty of the ocean to Central Coast farms. Distinct from Caruso’s, the private experience gathers guests at a communal table for a full sensory celebration – the crash of the surf, the sizzle of fresh seafood on the grill, the saline aroma of the Pacific, and the bold flavor of Caruso’s. Chef Massimo, prepares each dish live, showcasing ingredients and providing a unique view and understanding of the bounty of Santa Barbara County and the culinary program's profound connection to the ocean.
“At Caruso’s, we have a holistic approach to food sustainability. First and foremost, is locality – we only source products from local farmers, fishers, and ranchers, in order to reduce the carbon footprint of transportation and support the local microeconomy. Second, we have the ocean, and the Pacific is our life. At FronteMare by Caruso’s we have the opportunity to open a dialogue with our guests while creating special moments,” says Massimo. “I grew up in Italy, and am inspired by the beautiful seaside destinations tucked along the coasts throughout the Mediterranean. Here we set out to create the kind of dining experience we dream of, and to offer our guests an evening to remember.”
At FronteMare dinner is served family style with an aesthetic that is separate and distinct from Caruso’s. Highlights include antipasti with crudo, Morro Bay oysters and fresh burrata.
Pasta is passing through the bronze die daily from our grain-to-mill program in collaboration with Tehachapi Grain Project, emphasizing ingredients like Abalone and Sea Urchin and Caruso’s very own farm at Vega Winery. Main Courses are like whole roasted Vermillion and Richards Regenerative Steak and dessert will feature seasonal flavors such as Quince and Apple Tart, and chocolate mousse with Blackberries. To complement the fresh local flavors is a selection of garden-to-table cocktails incorporating seasonal produce from the Santa Barbara Farmer’s Market imbued with fresh herbs from Massimo’s Garden, along with a curated list of Central Coast wines.
