October 10, 2019
Rosewood Miramar Beach, Southern California’s newest ultra-luxury destination for discerning travelers worldwide, today announces an inspired array of specialty holiday offerings in celebration of the 2019 Festive season. Spanning from Thanksgiving Eve through the New Year and featuring everything from a decadent Christmas Brunch to a dedicated Santa’s House to seasonal spa treatments, as well as unique overnight packages and amenities, the resort’s carefully curated programming offers ample opportunity for guests and locals alike to join together over fine food, drink and fun.
“Christmas has always held a very special place in my heart. It’s the season of joy and faith and most importantly it’s the time of year when families come together,” said Rick Caruso, Founder and CEO of Caruso and owner of Rosewood Miramar Beach. “It brings me great pride to know that this year, families and friends from near and far will gather to create new traditions and share in the magic of Miramar.”
Festivities will begin on Wednesday, November 27 with a magical Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will mark the official arrival of the season and transform the resort into a beguiling winter wonderland for all to enjoy. No ordinary affair, the ceremony will feature live musical performances, a celebrity emcee and a special seaside appearance by Santa Claus to commemorate the occasion. The magnificent Christmas tree will be one of the largest displays in the country, towering 60 feet over the picturesque Great Lawn and featuring more than 5,000 sparkling lights and an assortment of graceful boughs decked with 2,500 ornaments each. Before the show, revelers of all ages will be invited to relish in a selection of themed activities, live local music and other amusements. For those staying at Rosewood Miramar Beach through the weekend, a bespoke Miramar Tree Lighting Package will offer suite accommodations, dining and spa credits and VIP seating at the ceremony. A selection of special holiday amenities, including a personal, in-suite tree with curated trimmings and monogrammed stockings, can be enjoyed as part of this festive resort offering. The Tree Lighting Package will be offered for arrivals on November 27 for stays of four-nights or more. For more information, please visit our special offers page.
The following day, Rosewood Miramar Beach’s distinct dining venues will offer specially curated Thanksgiving Day feasts boasting the best of the season. Joining in on the fun, Jolly Old St. Nick will be relocating to the coast of Montecito at Rosewood Miramar Beach’s enchanting Santa’s House. Open daily from November 29th through December 24th, one of the property’s beloved bungalows will be transformed into a beachside North Pole, where children can stop by and visit with Mr. Claus as they sip hot cocoa and share their Christmas wish lists with the man himself. Naughty or nice, young guests whose visits to Rosewood Miramar Beach fall outside of Santa’s House’s hours of operation may pen a wish list to St. Nick on special stationary, posting it in his newly installed North Pole mailbox. Please visit our holiday page for more information and for daily hours of operation.
Best enjoyed after a visit with Mr. Claus, guests are invited to an interactive Santa’s Holiday Brunch, where whimsical elves will pop by to amuse the children as family and friends dine on a buffet of seasonally inspired dishes and strolling holiday entertainment. Hosted on Sunday, December 15 and Sunday, December 22 in the elegant Chandelier Ballroom, the special brunch service will celebrate the spirit of giving, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Santa Barbara’s Storyteller Learning Center, a local organization that has provided high-quality, therapeutic early childhood education for homeless and at-risk children, as well as comprehensive support services for their families for over 31 years. Santa’s Holiday Brunch will be offered at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and at 1:00 p.m.; priced at $125 per adult, $65 per child (ages four to 12) and complimentary for children under four. Tickets are available for purchase here.
In celebration of Hanukkah, taking place this year from December 22 through December 30, a nightly Menorah lighting will invite guests and neighbors to reflect on the spirit of the holiday in the most stunning of settings. Following each of the eight ceremonies, guests will be encouraged to enjoy the beautiful display at their leisure from the comfort of the resort’s Living Room.
On Christmas Day, Malibu Farm and Caruso’s will once again welcome guests with bespoke brunches designed to bring everyone together over the fine flavors of the table. At Malibu Farm, regionally influenced Christmas classics will be paired with an extraordinary assortment of seasonal dishes and displays, including a cut-your-own-salad garden, a Morro & Humboldt Bay oyster bar, a stunning cheese and charcuterie board, live carving stations and more. For a slightly more formal affair, Caruso’s will showcase a sumptuous five-course prix-fixe menu set against unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. Crafted for the occasion, the menu features a gorgeous selection of gifts from sea and land alike, including Santa Barbara Spot Prawns with Stephanie’s Urchin Toast, Hand-Rolled Weiser Farm Potato Gnocchi, Rock Crab Benedict, Dry Aged Liberty Duck, and Snake River Wagyu Filet. The Christmas brunches will be offered at Malibu Farm from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., priced at $150 for adults and $65 for children (ages four to 12) and at Caruso’s from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., priced at $165 for adults and $65 for children ages four to 12 and under, respectively.
