Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® celebrates a record showing in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024, the second edition of the independent ranking system that recognizes best-in-class in global hospitality. Rosewood Hong Kong, Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, Rosewood São Paulo, and The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel have been named on the coveted list, earning the following rankings:
This marks the second consecutive year that Rosewood Hong Kong, Hôtel de Crillon, and Rosewood São Paulo have been recognized, and the inaugural year for The Carlyle. Their achievements cement Rosewood as one of the most represented brands with four top 50 rankings.
Sonia Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, was also honored with the SevenRooms Icon Award, which celebrates individuals who leave an indelible mark on the world of hospitality. Cheng is “recognized as a true inspiration to other hoteliers for her significant contribution to ensuring environmentally friendly and sustainable policies are at the heart of group, as well as for launching Rosewood Impacts, a corporate social impact initiative committed to empowering people in the industry.”[1]

The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024, unveiled at a captivating ceremony held at London’s historic Guildhall on Tuesday, September 17, showcases exceptional hotel experiences from around the globe. This second edition of the awards ceremony brought together the global travel and hospitality community to celebrate the finest hotels that promise to inspire and captivate travelers. The winning properties were revealed as part of a live countdown from number 50 to number 1, with rankings collated from the votes of 600 anonymous experts. This voting panel – the 50 Best Hotels Academy – comprises a balanced mix of hoteliers, travel journalists, educators and seasoned luxury travelers, led by a group of industry-leading Academy Chairs. The ceremony also revealed a host of special awards to collectively reflect the very best travel experiences around the globe.
