Effective May 1, 2024, Stéphane Massarini assumed the role of Managing Director for Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, and Rosewood Matakauri. Stéphane transitioned to this prestigious position from Rosewood Le Guanahani, St. Barth, where he had served as Resort Manager since 2021.
Since joining Rosewood, Stéphane has demonstrated exceptional leadership, driving Rosewood Le Guanahani to impressive commercial success and securing a top-three ranking in service delivery scores across all Rosewood properties worldwide. His tenure at Rosewood Le Guanahani, set within 18 acres of the exclusive island of St. Barth in the Caribbean’s French West Indies, was marked by his ability to inspire and lead with confidence, setting new standards in service excellence and hospitality.
With a robust background in the luxury hospitality industry, Stéphane brings a wealth of experience to his role. His career includes significant achievements with renowned international brands such as St. Regis and InterContinental. Notably, he served as General Manager at IHG InterContinental Beppu and Spa in Japan, where he led the pre-opening of the first InterContinental resort from the ground up and the first onsen resort for the group in Japan, earning several distinctions for the property.
Stéphane's exceptional leadership and extensive experience in managing and leading high-end properties and pre-opening projects will be instrumental in his new role. As Managing Director, he will oversee operations at Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, and Rosewood Matakauri. His vision includes curating impeccable guest experiences while preserving the native culture of these iconic New Zealand properties.
