The Las Ventanas al Paraíso experience begins the moment you arrive at the resort. As you enter, the "windows to paradise" immediately open up before you: a panorama – looking across the resort to the azure sea – of a flower-filled oasis in sand and earth colors, of white beach and the verdant green of the 15th hole of the Robert Trent Jones II golf course.
Instead of a check-in desk and computer, you are personally received, served a Margarita or other preferred beverage, and personally shown to your suite. On the short walk to your suite, deep-blue waters flow before your eyes – with the meandering waterways that begin in the open lobby area and spill through a series of ponds and a serpentine network of swimming pools, their infinity-edge designs creating images of an endless horizon.
Passing through an exquisite, hand-carved cedar door, you step into not just a suite but a spacious and sensual living space, and the largest standard guest rooms in Mexico. From virtually anywhere in your suite, visions open up of the ocean, the coastline and/or the golf course. The decor is all beautifully handcrafted, with raised bed platforms with oversized throw pillows, floors of stone and inlaid-pebble work, and unique windows that appear to be mother-of-pearl yet are opaque and transparent at the same time. A spacious dressing area with a hand-painted sink leads into a large bathroom with separate toilet room, a walk-in marble shower, and a second hand-painted sink area.
The interior and exterior of every suite flow together, separated only by sliding glass doors that completely open up the room to a private terrace. And on your terrace, which has latilla shading for filtered sunlight, are a combination splash-pool and jacuzzi, a luxurious sitting area for relaxing or dining around a hand-tiled table, and lush plants. All suites have a wood-burning, terracotta fireplace and a telescope. In addition, upstairs suites have a private rooftop terrace where you can sunbathe, take in expansive panoramas, savor romantic meals, or enjoy the perfect nights gazing at the infinite stars.
